The wider event is organised by Winter Wonderland Wirral at Birkenhead Park.

These Terms & Conditions relate specifically to tickets for Santa’s Gingerbread Grotto and should be read alongside any separate terms applicable to admission to the wider Winter Wonderland event.

2. Purchasing Tickets

2.1 Tickets are available to purchase online, subject to availability.

2.2 A ticket is valid only for the date and time stated on the booking confirmation.

2.3 Customers are responsible for checking the date, time, number of tickets and details of their booking before completing their purchase.

2.4 Once a booking has been completed, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where otherwise stated in these Terms & Conditions or where the law requires otherwise.

2.5 The person making the booking must be aged 18 or over.

2.6 All children entering Santa’s Gingerbread Grotto must have a valid child ticket.

2.7 Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout their visit.

3. Your Santa’s Gingerbread Grotto Experience

3.1 Santa’s Gingerbread Grotto is an immersive Christmas experience consisting of a themed Gingerbread Grotto, Christmas characters, Santa’s Grotto experience and associated activities.

3.2 The experience is designed to provide each child with an individual interaction with Santa.

3.3 Each child will have approximately three minutes with Santa. This is an approximate duration and may vary slightly depending on the number of children in a family/group and the operational requirements of the attraction.

3.4 Families may be grouped or directed through different areas of the experience to maintain the smooth and safe operation of the attraction.

3.5 Santa, elves, characters, scenery, activities, gifts and other elements may vary from those shown in promotional material.

3.6 We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the running order, activities, characters, scenery or other elements of the experience where this is necessary for operational, safety or other legitimate reasons.

3.7 Every reasonable effort will be made to maintain the advertised standard and magical nature of the experience.

4. Arrival and Time Slots

4.1 Customers should arrive at least 10 minutes before their allocated time.

4.2 Customers should allow sufficient time to park, enter Birkenhead Park, make their way to the Winter Wonderland and locate the Gingerbread Grotto entrance.

4.3 Arrival at the exact allocated time does not guarantee immediate entry if the attraction is operating to a timed-entry system.

4.4 Customers arriving late may be required to wait until a suitable opportunity is available.

4.5 Late arrival does not guarantee an extension to the allocated Santa experience.

4.6 If a customer arrives so late that their booking can no longer be accommodated without adversely affecting other customers, we reserve the right to refuse entry. In such circumstances, the ticket will not normally be refunded.

5. Non-Refundable Tickets

5.1 Tickets are non-refundable for customer cancellations, including where a customer:

  • changes their mind;
  • is unable to attend;
  • arrives late;
  • misses their allocated time;

  • cannot find parking;
  • is prevented from attending due to personal circumstances;
  • purchases tickets for the wrong date or time; or
  • decides that they no longer wish to attend.

5.2 This policy does not affect any statutory rights the customer may have.

5.3 Where permitted, we may at our discretion allow a booking to be transferred to another available time or date. Any such transfer is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

6. Cancellation or Rescheduling by the Organiser

6.1 We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule or alter Santa’s Gingerbread Grotto where this becomes necessary for safety, operational, environmental or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

  • any other circumstance in which continuing the event would reasonably be considered unsafe.

6.3 Ordinary winter weather, including rain, cold temperatures and normal seasonal wind, will not automatically result in cancellation.

6.4 As an outdoor Christmas event, customers should expect that the wider Winter Wonderland may operate in cold, wet or windy weather.

6.5 Where extreme weather or other circumstances make it unsafe to operate, we will make a decision based upon the conditions, available weather information, relevant safety advice and the professional assessment of the event/operational team.

6.6 Where reasonably possible, customers will be notified of a cancellation or rescheduling as soon as a decision has been made.

7. Extreme Weather Cancellation

7.1 If Santa’s Gingerbread Grotto or the wider Winter Wonderland has to be cancelled because of extreme weather or another circumstance outside our reasonable control, affected customers will be offered an alternative date and/or time, subject to availability.

7.2 Where an alternative date is offered, customers will be given instructions on how to transfer their booking.

7.3 Where a suitable alternative date cannot reasonably be provided, or where the customer is unable to attend the alternative date offered, the customer will be entitled to the remedy required by applicable law, which may include a refund.

7.4 Customers should not assume that adverse weather will result in cancellation. The event may continue in rain, cold temperatures and normal winter weather.

7.5 No compensation will normally be payable for additional costs incurred by customers as a result of cancellation or rescheduling, including travel, accommodation, parking, meals or other associated expenses, except where required by law.

8. Cancellation of the Wider Winter Wonderland

8.4 We will endeavour to keep customers informed of significant changes affecting their booked experience.

9. Gifts
